Setting a component property named with ::

Thank you everyone who helped with this one. I learned two things, which 
I should share here for the next traveller down this path:

1) The Slider component notation behaves okay in 10.22, but is variable 
in 10.2

2) You can still make it work in 10.2 if you comment and uncomment the 
uncooperative code lines. Strange, but true!
