Hi Graham

I’m not having a solution for your mountpoint, but in case you don’t find a solution for this,

I’m just using a Volumes mountpoint with

osascript -e 'mount volume "smb://servernameorip/Share" '

which still works under Sequoia, but this gets mounted under /Volumes/…

Best,

Stefan

Betreff: NO: Issue mounting a share on macOS Sequoia with shell script

Hi All,

Apologies for the non-Omnis question but I have not been able to find a solution to our problem elsewhere.

We have a shell script on one of our servers which used to mount a shared folder from a second server and copy across a log file before unmounting the share. But since upgrading both servers to Sequoia it is no longer working. The offending line is:

> mount -t smbfs smb://username:passwd@server.local/SharedFolder <smb://username:passwd@server.local/SharedFolder> /Users/username/MountFolder

In both bash and zsh, the command returns:

mount: /Users/username/MountFolder: invalid file system

Has anyone here come across this issue?

Thanks for any help you can offer,
Graham
