Ah, thinking more, you can combine 2 & 3 together, I just do that to make sure all of the remaining objects are the silly ones, and not something way off screen.
Use the Field list to show them.

1 Duplicate the broken class.
2 Remove all of the visible objects, leaving these hidden ones.
3 Select ALL and delete with DEL key (now those silly ones are gone, leaving the methods and variables intact)
4 Open duplicate class, select All and drag back into original window.
5 Delete duplicate class.

I have been struck by the bug that creates thousands of fields with $name = 0
I used to have a code snippet for deleting these, but I'm darned if I can find it. Can someone send it to me?
