Of course they do!!!! Just like Telstra in Oz used to throttle YT so that
you could watch in black and white and low resolution at that.
So 8 point 8 point 8 point 8 aka Google will probably be the fastest
available , and the Ookla and similar will get priority, then I wonder what
has changed on my end. Well I started using Brave, which blocks adds and
trackers and instead of performance increasing it collapsed. I wonder if
this is fruitful ground for a conspiracy theory?
I also dropped wifi - the router and notebook are about 3 feet apart - and
plugged in Cat5 cable - reboot and back to 170/40.
