How to drop a Combo box list?

Hi
Studio 10.22 on Mac Ventura.

I am attempting to use a combo box. The use enters the first character or two of the required selection. Some code determines how many lines match the snippet. If its none, I want to automatically drop the list so the user can choose.

Can't get the list to drop.  Does anyone know if $listdropped can be assigned?
