Spouses at EurOmnis - more than welcome, and there are things to do

here are some things to do in/around arnhem.

I have only been to two locations in the list of 15, so that’s all I can speak to.


7 The airborne Museum is quite good — I’ve been there a couple of times.   It details some of the aspects of Operation Market Garden (as portrayed in the movie - a bridge too far).  It is also on a nice park setting.


8 Doorwerth castle —1200th centrury restored castle is also not too far away (a few km) from the hotel.

its got resonance in that we’ve had supper there at past Euromnis’s     However, it is not longer partnered with the hotel, so we weon’t be going there this time.



The big thing about the Arnhem area is that it was the final drop zone for ‘Operation Market Garden’ during world war II.    some 10,000 soldiers landed there … but they were too far from their objective, and failed.

There is quite the affinity for the locals because of the attempt at liberation, so I’ve fond they are quite friendly, even today.



there is more to do.. but I don’t know about the other things.


you can see some of the above items in the downtown walking tour. and downtown is nice.  IT is also near where the trains come in and people are picked up to be brought to Euromnis.

The hotel has a shuttle which we use.   I believe they’ll take you to some of these places (maybe for a small fee).     

Walking or bike riding is also an easy thing around the hotel.   its safe.
