The New Product

The new product, according to Mike Mathews, is a quick app maker, where you make an app easily, and what you make can become a full blown Omnis Library later if you like… so the product is a database maker possibly for non-developers..

I don’t know more. 

I secretly hope Omnis Inc. decides to give this away, so as to increase the base and eventually increase the number of Omnis developers that exist. If there was a need in a couple years for OMnis developers due to people using the entry level product and then wanting more.. that would be a good thing. 

I’m fast approaching trying to get my first programming client. I am worried that the fact that there are NO Other Omnis developers in nearly any/every area on Earth, including my area of Raleigh/Durham North Carolina, to back me up, to back up clients who take me up on my offers of development… Lack of backup developers may cause me to lose clients before they start.. 

I think an entry level product is a great idea, a great product potentially. I’m happy that’s what it is.
