Hi Xavier,
We just finished a project of converting icons in our fat client app (Studio 10.2 on Windows 2019 server) from PNG to SVG.
The process is very smooth.
Things you need to do and not to do in Windows:
- Don't use the SVG images that Omnis provides in the "material" folder as those won't work with fat client, they are for JSclient.
- Download SVG for windows and save them in a new folder and place that folder in the iconsets folder in the Omnis root directory.
- Modify your lib to have the name of your SVG icons in the iconsets pref.
That should enable you to access the icons form the fat client.
We downloaded icons from https://icons8.com/icons and they look good in Omnis.
Hope that helps,
Mayada

Subject: Replace PNG with SVG
Hi all,
I’m using many small graphics in Omnis windows and reports that are in PNG format.
I want to replace PNG with SVG because smaller size and better quality. I output many of them in pdf reports, so quality and size is important.
Is possible to use SVG format widely in Omnis?
When you try to paste from file there is no option for SVG, only PNG, PICT and JPG.
regrads
xavier
