Re the GetFiles xcomp - it adds one static function:

  GetFiles.$getfilenames(&cDirectory [,cPrompt, cFilter, iAppflags] )  Returns fileList

It opens the standard Open file dialog, allows you to shift-click or command-click for multiple selections, and returns a 1-column list of selected filename(s) as the function result, with the selected directory path in cDirectory.  If cDirectory is non-empty when the method is called, that's equivalent to using the initialDirectory parameter in FileOps.$getfilename().  The optional parameters are meant to work the same as they do with FileOps.

The function result is where the selected file path(s) come back.  So it's not an exact replacement for FileOps.$getfilename(), but close.
