I hear you Phil but I wonder why it has worked so much being on the server and using $cinst about the form.

It has worked a lot. Only sometimes does it bark. 

Aren’t client methods not client methods when they are called from server methods?

You HAVE to call a client method from a client event isn’t it true?  So that the whole exchange is done on the client.

I am aware of the trick of calling 1 server method from a client, and returning to client. Aware of that trick. Hard to implement sometimes. 

I made this method in question into a client method already.. and it still had trouble with it. Still stopped and said not supported. 

Other times, it works fine, server or client.
