Notation not supported

Dear All,

I have a remote form, Studio 10.1, with a method called "behavior" which is called often, which sets various things about the look of the form. 

In the method, which is a server method, I use notation that includes $cinst. It stops on this and says Notation not supported.

The thing is that it works sometimes, and other times it stops on the code and says that.

I am wondering how to "cure" a method that SOMETIMES works and sometimes does not.

This is an example of what it is stopping on:

Calculate $cinst.$objs.PagedPane.$objs.AE_MESSAGE.$visible as not(ilOptions.3.$selected)

The code works fine sometimes. 

The problems seemed to start after I made that method a client side method, then changed it back to server. It seems to have corrupted the code or something. 

Any ideas?
