A further update: we moved the Omnis app from the external monitor to the built-in laptop display and, hey presto, the change to a display with a different resolution resulted in the print to preview fixing itself. We moved it back to the original external monitor and the printing continues to work (so far). We will see what happens when the client restarts their app/computer, they didn’t want to change anything now it is working, so this may be a short-term fix

It is interesting that moving it to a different resolution monitor fixed it, I don’t know the reason why. Others may know.

The client has an unhappy view of the world which makes trying this more difficult, I'm sure you have experience with that problem. If we manage to change her computer settings I will let you know the outcome.
