ODB via VPN

Just pondering.

With the latency of the internet, do you think it is a wise thing to connect to the ODB via VPN over the internet?

We have had many 3rd party IT “professionals” attempt this when our mutual clients have requested to move to work from home, they have been able to do it, but the clients always complain about the speed of the connection and we see many datafiles get corrupted because of the way ODB handles sharing with high latency.

Of course this might just be an Omnis Classic issue and Studio might work with ODB differently, but I still ponder the question.

Thanks
Jim
