ARM/M1 processors and Studio

The current 10.2, which is said to be compatible with M1 by running under Rosetta, is NOT actually FULLY working correctly.

My app has more sophisticated MATH functions going on in it than most people use. Because it does Astronomy as part of what it does. We use various MATH functions within Omnis and we do complex MATH calculations. We find that the current 10.2 runs, in a basic sense it does RUN on the M1’s, but it is NOT fully working correctly.. we are getting wrong calculations in some places.

I don’t have a more exact response on this. I have not chased down the problems to locate them into one particular function or such. But something is amiss.. so we are waiting eagerly for the next release of 10.2 which is said to be M1 Native.

Cheers,
