Hi Brian,
Its probably going to depend on your device. Omnis can handle serial
communications and TCP/IP. You can also get lists of attached printers.
There could be OS Scripting / API calls you can use through Omnis to find
things as well.
We do a lot of interfacing with devices. Credit Card Machines, Laboratory
Equipment, Signature capture, X-Ray, Telephone, etc.
I have normally found there is usually a way to get done what you need. Not
always strait forward but if your persistent you should be able find a
solution.

Is there a way to detect a device using Omnis Studio? For example, i want
to check if a certain device is attached to the computer before initiating a
program.
