Hi Jim,
First, locate your Omnis application data folder (http://omnis.ci/guides/omnis-installation-locations.html#application_data_directory):
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Omnis/[version]
Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Omnis\[version]
Open the studio folder therein and copy the following files from the previous version to the new version:
config.json
keys.json
omnis.cfg
I recommend diffing the json files first to see if there is new functionality that you might overwrite. That's not possible with studio.cfg, however.
This would be a nice system for the Omnis team to enhance with a defaults/user-preference override system. For example, store a common "User Config" directory one level up from the application data folder with versions of the config files (also move studio.cfg to JSON). Then load the version default settings, overridden by those specified in user config. Ideally there would be a "default" setting in Omnis that, when selected, would remove the specific settings from the user config.
How Xcode handles compiler settings for project/target/build environment is a good example of this.
