ultra thin and locale

Hi folks,

I am now wanting to introduce other languages to my ulta thin app and am wondering what is the best way to go about it.  I want to refer to the locale in the users browser in the first instance.  There are omnis functions to provide this in a js form situation by ultra thin is quite different.  I thought it might be available by using HTTP_LOCALE.  Is that correct?

I know I need to provide an override on the website as well.  e.g. browser may be in Italy but they speak English.  Initially an Italian page will be shown but s/he can set the language manually.  images and droplists are options but any tips from previous experience are welcome.
