Hi Jim,
Nice to see a note from you describing some of your desert explorations. I have been through AZ a few times and stayed over some too. I have visited Indian sites, but not taken in any mines. You have touched my traveling bug, so nice to hear from you.

I don't know anything about where you're from but I found the desert very beautiful in seasons other than summer. Summer was meant to swim, water ski, fish and take moonlight jeep rides as the day is just too hot.

Go until you have just under 1/2 a tank of gas and turn back. Under 1/2 a tank adds a bit of excitement to the trip. We used to know where the original wagon train trails were and I even saw signs the first pioneers put there before some jackass had to steal them. We found graves of gold miners and paid them tribute. I fear my memories as a child to those places are lost along with the folks that used to know the way to those places.

But change is good.. been in Oregon a long time.. try and flex my sunshine muscles next down closer to the equator. Going to be living in a house built on the guidelines of the ancient Indian system of “Vastu”, which is the science of resonance for buildings.. teaches certain principles and measurements for creating better homes, temples, etc.. so that’s weird, going to be living in a very rare house.. there aren’t many in America at all.. I was told it’s on Google Maps and other places as “Vastu Garba”… and it shows you a pic, I was told.. the house has a type of steeple and internal echo.. should be interesting.

What made the Mac is one very pushy man. He didn’t really live or do things which would warrant the outpouring of grief and love at his passing.. the documentary made that point repeatedly.. it wasn’t a Steve apologist approach, it was more criticize the dude.. and they had footage to show, juxtapositions of sections of footage and facts from the world.. interviews, people who were really close.. like Lisa’s mom.. very interesting show..
