Studio 10.1 windows - program freezes with blue circle spinning

we have found something on toolbars that seem to go inactive and things spin (even on latest release of 10.1.27575) …. we’ve been mentioning them for a couple of years. But we don’t see a lot of CPU activity, so you might want to see if omnis is takin gup time or not in task manager. Like Mike, our development is mostly OSX>
I an guessing its related to a flag in a window that lets you make it modal .. so things get set, then never unset as the window closes. I can’t prove it … but thats what I think it is related to.
what we‘ve done to mostly address it is some workarounds
per omnis support from jan 2019, we do this in every menu that we open just to try toggle an internal flag. (we have a common routine that everything calls)
Disable all menus and toolbars
Enable all menus and toolbars
also, when we close windows, in the $control method, we check for the last window being closed sys(50)=‘’ and do the same thing.
I can’t say that your problem is the same as what we’ve encountered … but thats what we’ve noticed.
as I mention, it still happens, just much less frequently
