With permission and assistance from Jim, there is a 1 hour youtube video now available along with a link to sample library and data files to assist those like me who have been struggling with implementing the transition between DML and SQL.
.
The great thing for me is that I can view the presentation in one sitting without interruption and the sample files, unlike the demo libraries, give both structure and meaning (with the help of the video) to the differences with native datafile and SQL for those familiar with using the native DML.
.
Jim has made his library capable of connecting with *multiple* SQL vendors (awesome) and does not assume much prior knowledge.
.
So far there is FrontBase, OpenBase, OmnisSQL (the one to use to get started), and OpenBase Session Pool. There are others under the hood but the OmnisSQL from the native datafile (like the one you've been using all these years) is all you need to get started.
