Customize Studio 10.2 runtime app name (mac)

Mike,
While I'm aware of the deployment tool, I have not used it yet.. mostly
because I know all the exact locations I need to modify inside a runtime to
customize my app and get it out the door...taking 1 min.
I'm also a bit reluctant as I dont know how stable it is for deployments &
didn't want to learn/test a new tool at this time when the "manual" method
has been working for us.
Omnis should not crash if you rename the runtime. It should exist
gracefully with some message - I know our customers rename our apps all the
time to random things.
Is this deployment tool now the method Omnis recommends to create
builds/customize your apps?
