Hi Jeanne,
We do the same thing and occasionally have the same issue. The operators
email or domain may get blocked somewhere along the line and those messages
do not get though. Or, they get flagged as spam.
We are considering adding support to an actual SMS/MMS Service. But wonder
if our clients will accept a "PAID SERVICE" for this. I have looked at a
couple of them and the programming would be minimal to connect to their APIs
via an XML / JSON Web Service.

Subject: Sending Text Messages from Studio
I'm sending text messages to the company clients via email using smtp
server. So far its been unreliable as some text go thru and others do not.
The Att customers for example do not get them. Metro, tmobil and others do.
This is posing a challenge for me now as we planing to expand to send
automatic notifications/confirmation with certain transactions:
-Trouble #1 unreliability. Some get it, some do not -Trouble #2 in order
for me to send via smtp server I have to know customer cellphone provider.
Not all the customer on the database have that info.
So the question is: Is there another way I can send text messages from
studio that does not entitle an email and I dont need to input the provider?
The company that handles the texting for us outside of studio do not need
that info. We only give them a file with the phone numbers in it and they
mass send the texts, but I cant use that with what I want to do now. It has
to come from studio.
By the way, we are using Studio 6.1 and planning to upgrade to Studio 10
Please advise.
