Linux Server on cPanel

I’ve been using the JavaScript client and getting familiar with that using my MacOS computer as the host.  I’m using Omnis 8.1.6.  I have an iPad app using the Omnis wrapper which connects to this local server to run on the Omnis Server with the Mobil Only license.  I’ve got some clients who use this app, setting up their own Mac as their local server.  It works well, but I’d like to put this server in a more "cloud-like" location.  Maybe be able to configure the host for each of my clients instead of having them set up their own Omnis Server.

I have an account with a web hosting provider that runs on cPanel.  I’m wondering about deploying the Omnis JavaScript Server here to be my Omnis server.  Is that even possible?  I’m not even sure what version of Linux it is running on.  The Omnis Install.txt document tells me to run the Omnis Studio Linux installer but I don’t know how that is even possible since I don’t really have control of the computer.

Didn’t there use to be a method where I would just upload a cgi to make it work?
