How to $select and $fetch a record just entered

If I have just inserted a record, using a sequence generator too, which is working now, how can I fetch it back to get the sequence number onto the screen?

I am using “RETURNING cust_id”. But I don’t know how to GET the value it returns, in Omnis.  How do you GET that value?
