hi Jacques:

I’ve generally found that message usually means that Studio can’t find the libpq.dll in the path name in order to talk to the database.

Thats normally in the same directory as the omnis executable. if libpq.dll is there , it could be an older version, or not on a path.

or it could be that some dll that libpq.dll is dependant on cannot be found. you might want to use dependancywalker.exe to see whats missing.

I have had it a few times on OSX systems — but I’ve never had it on windows since we put a bunch of dll's in when I run our installer for theatre manager.

you didn’t mention which veston of Studio??? I don’t think that would affect it.

if port 5432 or the pg_hba.conf on the sever did not allow access to the database from that machine, I believe you get a different message.
