Omnis 5.1 and Omnis 8 on same machine ?

Yes.
What we do is make a shortcut on the desktop (or wherever), for each of the Omnis,exe’s.
Drag the library you want to work on onto the appropriate Omnis.

(Beware of a recently reported bug about Omnis 8, that this may not work yet.)
