O$ 5.2.3: runtime slow after unicode conversion from O$ 4.3

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the replies. Unfortunately, the problem still remains.

@Bob: I've updated the DAM, but there is no change. In either case, I
don't think our calls to Postgres are causing the slowness. Most of our
data is still in Datafiles (ODB) so our use of the Postgres DB is 
limited
to just a few calls here and there.

@Xavier: we set our $maxcachedclasses to 5000, which far outnumbers the
classes that we have. Perhaps we set it too big?

@Rocco: we use the @[] Bind Variables as well, but I can't seem to 
replicate
your problem. We don't use the Begin/End Statement block though. Do you 
have
the same issue when you use a character variable? Something like
statementobj.$execdirect(querystring)
