If I allow it to execute on the server end then it completes the task
correctly.

Even though the book says I can on client execution inside the $event
field...It only inserts a "null"

I put this inside the field's $event method and it gives me "null".
"iDATEOFEVENT" Is character field. It doesn't work when I also make it a
date field.

On evAfter
Calculate iDATEOFEVENT as dat(iDATEOFEVENT,'M D Y') Calculate iENDDATE as
iDATEOFEVENT

Hi Brian,

You can get that info in the online help. And yes, it looks like jst() can
be used in a client executed event on jsform.
