Performance of Solid state Drives with Native Datafile

Hi Bas
Might want to check the TRIM setting on the SSD. Check SSD info from System
Profiler - TRIM should be ON.

Apple doesn't set it ON for non-Apple (ie. After market) SSDs vis:

"Until 10.10.4, Mac OS X natively enabled Trim only for Apple-branded SSDs;
third-party utilities are available to enable it for other brands. Old third
party TRIM drivers stopped working as of the Yosemite update."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trim_%28computing%29

OSX dot upgrades can (purportedly) silently reset TRIM to OFF - this has
been reported but I haven't encountered it.

There's a utility Chameleon to simplify setting TRIM (although can also be
toggled via terminal).
