Hi Xavier,

In essence I can only corroborate your findings.

  Calculate #L1 as $reports.MyReportClass.$objs.$makelist($ref.$sectiontype,$ref.$objtype)

This returns the first column as record, positioning, end etc. The second column is the object type, such as section, entry, backpicture etc.

With this ordering you can build the same tree as Omnis does when you right mouse click on a report to view the fields in the report.

This is what I do in Studio 4.3.x . Perhaps there is some other method in newer versions of Studio.

Regards

Rudolf

Betreff: List of field names in a record section.

Hi all,

I need to make a list of field names ($name) included in the record section of a report.
I am unable to see how to know if a field belongs to the record section beyond that its order.

Any advice ?

Thanks in advance

xavier
