hi Andrew:

it seems to me that Marten Verhoeven might have done something like this (dim recollections from Euromnis past) where a URL was put on a page ..

there are some 'external components' called 'HTML Data Bound Text, HtmlICOn, Html Picture, HTML Raw Text and HTML Text (link) that seem to imply you can do this.

since the URL for the html links will have to be a callback to omnis itself, you may be able to use the ultra thin client to fire something in a remote task...

or you may be able to call an omnis procedure. Now that I speak that out loud, I think kelly burgess may have an external that lets you do an omnis procedure from a report.

finally, you may have to print to the HTML output device in order to get the hyperlinks...

I have not done any of this -- but I'm thinking I've heard that somebody has.
