I am from Omnis7 but I think the nam() should be incorporated.
Do $cinst.$setcurfield('nam(TxtField1)’)
Not sure about the quotations (') though

This is what should work 


Do $cinst.$setcurfield('TxtField1’)

to set a field to the current field
