O$5 and STARTTLS

Hi,

We use SMTPSend for years in Omnis Studio 5.x
Either unauthenticated or using name&password.
No problems

Recently internet providers do require port 587 STARTTLS
Also Office365 does this
This seems only available in a later version (O$ 6.1)

For now, what possibilites left ?

Did someone experiment f.i. with a (open source) locally installed smtp server which acts as gateway
between the local pc's and connects to the smtp server using TLS authentication ?
Preferring a simple setup for both Windows and MacOS X.
