O$: Typeahead / automagic droplists

Dear Listers,

Has anyone got some code they would be willing to share that addresses 
the issue of providing type ahead or automagic droplists please?

We have a version but think there may be better ways of doing it. We 
have a Listbox that gets created and populated with a list of up to 
approx 250 values and is filtered as the user types into an entry field 
above. It's a bit time consuming to put into a window each time it is 
needed on a field though. I just wondered if anyone had a faster/simpler 
way of achieving the same thing (or better!)
