If you have the old Omnis 7 shell break into the code by creating a new
segment using the tool and hit, on Windows, control shift break , then step
back through the code until you see the $datas notation.
Someone else might already have this code. In the same area the segment
code should be there. The Omnis 7 windows help has all the basic notation
to do this but I think there might be a few tricks so that is why I have
suggested the above approach.
With respect to the pathways I believe the first segment contains the path
to the second etc. You can create some test DF1, DF2s etc and use a Hex
Editor to have a look.
