Thanks everyone for all their ideas.
What finally worked was to create an instance variable in the window that
pointed to the object.
This seems to have provided the scope I needed.
I was not able to get the task version of it to work across the libraries.

Make sure your task "ClientTrax" $external property is set to kTrue, so
other libraries can see it and than try the $itasks route again.
