hi andy:
TMObjs (our external that we will give to anybody) does AES 128 and 256 encryption, as well as 3DES, DES and one way hashes like MD5 and SHA. (all one liner xcomp calls)
it also does a whole lot more -- like binarysearch on a list.
Far as I know ... there are a fair number of users of the xcomp out there. We've made licensing so that you can freely distribute the xcomp with your app. no cost.
of course, Now I have to go and find a version for studio 4.3 in my archives..... (unless anybody out there using it on studio 4.3 can tell me the version they are using and save me time).
anyway, anybody is welcome to have it.
