Windows 2008 server and datafiles

-install the odb service/daemon
-don't put datafiles on a share
-setup a xml file with each dbname and its link to the datafile first segment
-choose a tcp port not used already
-check firewall to allow connection
-stop/start service and read message.txt to see if ok
-client opens datafile via odb://ip:port:dbname

And adapt your backup strategy!
