Parallels,VMWare or what?

we use parallels.   simply because it was first to market ... and love  
it.  I have it on all our machines.  I think there are a lot of  
capabilities in both, but as it realates specifically to your question:

we use postgres and openbase and do that all the time... connecting  
from studio on win 2000 or vista ultimate to talk to the database on  
the mac.   I've even installed the PC version of the databases and  
talked to it from the mac...


hows that.

I'm sure VMware does it to, but I like Parallels because of:
- coherence - I can get rid of the MDI frame in windows applications  
and make them seemlessly look like mac windows :)
- I can share or have separate IP addresses on the VM
- and everything I've tried, runs.
